Care Guide

Handmade soaps contain lots of skin loving ingredients, but also require some care in return to make sure they last as long as possible. Cold Process Soap naturally contains glycerin which will draw moisture to the bar (as well as to your skin). If you leave your bar soap to sit in water for an extended period of time, the bar may become mushy and will get used up faster.

Placing the bar onto a draining soap dish will allow it to dry in between uses and will increase the longevity of the bar. Flat tile, or the bathtub ledge will not have sufficient enough drainage to allow the soap to dry.

Another way to get the most out of your bar is to cut it into smaller pieces with a kitchen knife and store the unused portion in an airtight container. This can be done if the bar is too big to comfortably fit in your hand, or if you just want to use a little at a time.
